Pembroke Pines, Hialeah Ranked Worst in Nation for Singles

If you’re looking for love, you may want to consider moving if you live in Hialeah and Pembroke Pines.

A new WalletHub study ranked the two South Florida cities as the worst for singles in Florida – and among the worst in the nation.

Out of 182 cities nationwide, Hialeah is ranked at 179, with Pembroke Pines falling right below it at 180. South Burlington, Vt. landed dead last on the list, and Brownsville, Texas took the second spot at 181.

Tampa fell just shy of the top ten best cities for cities at 11, and Orlando also ranked well at 27.

More than 45 percent of the U.S. population is unmarried, according to the latest U.S. Census Bureau data.

The study compared 182 cities in the nation, including 150 of the most populated, across three areas: economics, fun and recreation, and dating opportunities.

Pembroke Pines is the worst in the study when it comes to “Lowest Singles Gender Balance.” The study also found that Miami has very few online-dating opportunities and has among the highest restaurant meal costs.

Florida was nowhere to be found in the top 5 best cities for love-seekers. Here are the best cities for hopeful lovers:

  1. San Francisco, Calif.
  2. Atlanta, Ga.
  3. Los Angeles, Calif.
  4. Denver, Colo.
