An officer had to use a Taser on a man who was trying to walk across the Palmetto Expressway in Miami-Dade Wednesday morning in an incident that was caught on camera.
According to Miami-Dade Police, they received a call that a man was trying to walk across the busy highway during morning rush hour just south of Northwest 25th Street.
An officer responded and encountered the suspect in the southbound lanes of the expressway. Video from a witness shows the officer and man struggling before the officer pulls out his Taser and uses it on the man, who falls to the ground.
Officials said the man, whose name wasn't released, was taken into custody and would undergo a mental evaluation.
