Woman Stabbed at Presidente Supermarket: Fire Rescue

The woman's condition was unknown.

Officials say a a man stabbed his girlfriend at a Miami supermarket Friday morning.

The stabbing occurred at the Presidente Supermarket on 4275 West Flagler Street, according to Miami Fire Rescue.

Police said the woman was trying to end the couple's relationship and the man did not take it well. The man stabbed the 53-year-old woman on the right side.

When rescuers first arrived at the supermarket, they could not find the woman, who was not identified. They eventually found her on the side of the store. The man fled the scene.

The woman was taken to Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition to undergo surgery.
