AAA and Budweiser are teaming up this St. Patrick’s Day weekend to tow drivers who may be too buzzed to get behind the wheel.
The Tow-To-Go service offers the free ride to AAA members and non-members to avoid impaired drivers from hitting the road on holidays where heavy drinking is expected.
The service will be activated Friday, St. Patrick’s Day to 6 a.m. Sunday, March 19th.
AAA tow trucks will take the driver home or somewhere safe within 10 miles. The service usually transports only up to two people.
Tow-To-Go is available for drivers in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Nebraska and Iowa.
AAA says since 1998, the Tow-To-Go program has safely helped 24,000 impaired drivers across the Southeast and Midwest.
