An elderly bicyclist was rushed to the hospital after he was struck by a van in a Pembroke Pines retirement community Monday morning.
The crash happened in Century Village in the 13300 block of Southwest 10th Street, police said..
Police said the victim, 88-year-old Saturnino Desdin, suffered a head injury and was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition.
The van stayed at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
