Car Slams into NW Miami-Dade Home

Two sisters received a rude awakening Monday morning when a Pontiac Grand Prix came crashing into their bedroom.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said the Pontiac hit the home around 1:30 a.m. The crash took out a major support beam in the home.

“It knocked her out and then I was struck and I got up and then ran outside,” said Abigail Beauville.

Fire-Rescue workers had their hands full as they tried to get the car out of the home. Fire-Rescue said there was extensive termite damage to the home which caused concern the wall that was hit could fall down after the car was revmoed.

“That’s always a concern, that’s why we keep everyone back,” said Captain Tim Ribel of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

Deborah Beauville, who was also in the room, said she was right where the accident happened saying, “I’m pretty sure the wall fell on me.”

The Beauville’s are displaced just days for Christmas, but thankful that nothing worse happened as a result of the accident.

“That’s a blessing from God, we could’ve died. It’s just a blessing,” Deobrah said.
