Police in Florida are looking for information about whoever killed a 4-year-old girl during a drive-by shooting in Tampa.
Tampa police Assistant Chief Ruben Delgado said during a news conference Monday that a woman was driving with her daughter in the car Sunday night when another vehicle pulled up beside them and opened fire.
The woman crashed and then found that her daughter had been shot, police said. The child was taken to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Investigators weren't immediately sure why the mother and daughter were targeted, acknowledging that it could have been a case of mistaken identity.

“We know people saw what happened, we know people were in the area when it happened,” Delgado said. “Those are the people we want to talk to."
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
