Dion Hospitalized Until Twins Are Born

Hospital says early admittance is routine

Singer Celine Dion, who is pregnant with twins, has been admitted to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach for observation, the hospital announced Monday.

"She has been admitted to prevent the early delivery of her babies, which is a fairly common clinical practice for mothers of twins," the hospital explained. "This is done to ensure the patient can be in close contact with their doctors and clinical resources, leading up to their birth."

Dion has a nine-year-old son, Rene-Charles, with husband Rene Angelil.

The hospital has also denied any rumors that Dion has made any special demands, such as particular staff or accommodations "not available to other patients," but did confirm that the hospital, without the request of Dion, has increased security.

While Dion's water may not be breaking any time soon, the $20 million water park she is having constructed at her Jupiter Island mansion is coming right along, featuring two water slides, pools and a lazy river.

The water park created a controversy in her community when the project depleted the area's water supply, leading to water restrictions. Dion was fined, and has since installed water storage devices to hold the 6.5 million gallons of water needed to fuel the park.

And all we got when our younger sibling was born was a Happy Meal.
