Florida Woman Accused in Son's Death Arrested Again

Sharon Swat was first arrested Dec. 14, six months after police say she left her infant son and 4-year-old autistic daughter in a bathtub.

Officials say a Florida woman accused in the death of her young son has been arrested again after violating terms of her pretrial release from jail.

Sharon Swat was first arrested Dec. 14, six months after police say she left her infant son and 4-year-old autistic daughter in a bathtub. The baby — named Kayden — drowned. The 24-year-old mother was charged with child abuse causing great bodily harm.

The Sarasota Herald-Tribune reports she posted a $75,000 and was released the next day under the condition that she would have no contact with children — including her daughter.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office received a tip on Tuesday that Swat was picking up her daughter at a bus stop. She was arrested and is being held without bail.
