Police are investigating after a Fort Lauderdale man was shot and killed while driving his truck earlier this week.
Fort Lauderdale Police said 25-year-old John Gurley was killed in the Sunday night shooting on Northwest 8th Avenue.
Detectives say Gurley was driving a Ford F-150 eastbound on Northwest 8th Street between Northwest 10th Terrace and Northwest 8th Avenue when an unknown suspect shot at the truck several times.
Officers arrived and found Gurley, who was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
