Girl, 11, Victim of Attempted Abduction in Northwest Miami-Dade: MDPD

An 11-year-old girl is recovering after she got away from a would-be abductor Tuesday morning in northwest Miami-Dade.

Miami-Dade Police say the girl was walking to her bus stop around 6:50 a.m. when a black male approached her in a black Chevy truck in the area of Northwest 103rd Street and Seventh Avenue.

The man told the girl that he was having car trouble and asked if she could help him, police say.

The man then grabbed the girl and forced her into the truck. The girl was able to get away from the suspect and he drove off.

Police say she may have gotten hurt while getting away from the man.
