‘GMA' Anchor Amy Robach to Speak at Miami Breast Cancer Conference

"Good Morning America'" news anchor and breast cancer survivor Amy Robach will be the keynote speaker at the 33rd Annual Miami Breast Cancer Conference.

The renowned conference brings together leading surgical and medical oncologists to present and evaluate cutting-edge technology and approaches for managing breast cancer.

Robach learned of her cancer in 2013 following her first ever mammogram broadcast live on the show. After the diagnosis, Robach publically announced it on ``GMA'' before having a double mastectomy and treatment.

The conference, being held March 10 through 13, comes as federal health officials recently changed their recommendations on mammogram screenings, saying they should start at age 50 instead of age 40. It's been a widely debated topic and conference promoters say Robach is evidence of why getting mammograms earlier is better.
