Hialeah Man Arrested for String of Burglaries: Police

Jorge Arceo, 21, was taken into custody Tuesday on four new burglary charges

A Hialeah man already on probation on burglary and drug possession cases is now facing more charges after a series of car and business burglaries, authorities said.

Jorge Arceo, 21, was taken into custody Tuesday on four new burglary charges, according to arrest reports.

On Tuesday at 5 a.m., detectives say Arceo threw a rock at Amy’s Supermarket on East 25th Street in Hialeah. He allegedly broke the store’s front glass door, tried to get in and couldn’t because of the iron gate, then put the rock back in his pocket and left, one report said.

According to the other three arrest reports, Arceo burglarized a car last Friday at 360 W. 52nd Street in Hialeah. Then this past Sunday, Arceo allegedly burglarized two cars ten minutes apart in the 700 block of E. 12th Place, taking a pair of sunglasses and a woman's perfume bottle.

Arceo appeared in court Wednesday where he received a total bond of $20,000 with a hold for the two other cases he’s also facing. Attorney information wasn't available.
