A Broward County high school was placed on lockdown Thursday morning after reports of a gun being brought on campus.
Officers arrived at Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale shortly after 9 a.m. after being notified that a student may have brought a gun to the school located at 2501 Northwest 11th Street.
Fort Lauderdale Police said a student was detained, but no gun was found. It is unknown if the student will be facing any charges.
The lockdown was later lifted.
