University of Miami Police have stepped up patrols after a juvenile was inappropriately touched in the laundry room at one of the university's housing facilities.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. Monday at the Stanford Residential College at 1239 Dickinson Drive, according to a safety advisory issued by UM Police.
The advisory said the juvenile was in the laundry room when a man entered the room with a small black dog. As the man went to leave, he brushed by the victim, inappropriately touching the victim.
The suspect was described as a light-skinned male, 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10. Police are actively investigating the incident.
