A red sports car is bringing a whole new meaning to going green.
"It's taken five years of blood, sweat and tears for this creation," said Susan Haskell with Renew Sports Cars.
It's also taken a lot of cannabis hemp to make the smoking hot car.
"One of the most unique things about this car is, it's the first car that's made out of, at least the body is made out of, cannabis hemp in the United States since Henry Ford did so in 1941," said Bruce Michael Dietzen, President of Renew Sports Cars.
The car's body may be made out of cannabis hemp, but that's not all it's about. It's also a vehicle to help curb climate change.
"The important thing about this car is that it really can save the planet," Haskell said.
"The objective within the next 10 years is to continue to push the idea of making cars that are close to being carbon neutral," Dietzen explained.

Dietzen started making the cannabis car five years ago with his team in Key West and he brings eco-friendly to a whole new level. The retired computer salesman has imported over 100 pounds of hemp from China and said his cars can help cut the auto carbon footprint by 24 percent.
The high-efficiency car runs just like a normal vehicle and it's sturdy.
Dietzen uses three layers of hemp, resin and molds to make the car body. He also wants to set the record straight on a few things.
"The average question I get: 'Can you smoke it?'" Dietzen said. The answer to that question is no.
"One of the neat things about having made it out of cannabis is that it sparks people's attention. Because they are either pro-cannabis or anti-cannabis. I don't smoke the stuff myself," Dietzen said.
He may spark people's curiosity for using this controversial plant but he has some big plans for this vehicle.
"My vision for these cars is down the road to hopefully make greener and greener cars, perhaps all the way to the point of being carbon negative. So that in the future when we drive around, we're actually cleaning the environment," he said.
How much does this all cost? Each car is handmade and takes about two months to make. Prices range from $40,000 to as high as $197,000.
