Police arrested a Florida man earlier this week after they found a small baby crying inside of his car outside a bar.
NBC affiliate WESH-TV reports that 31-year-old Jerry Mitchell was charged with neglect after the incident late Tuesday night.
According to a report from Orange County police, Mitchell was at the bar near Orlando for several hours before a person walking out saw a car with its emergency flashers on.
When the approached the car, the person told officers they noticed a baby sitting in the driver’s seat and appeared to be crying. The man, along with several employees, was eventually able to get the baby to unlock the door and safely remove it from the vehicle.
