Police confirmed a man has died after being shot outside a northwest Miami-Dade restaurant early Monday morning.
Officers arrived at the IHOP located neat Northwest 36th Street and 52nd Avenue in Miami Springs - just north of Miami International Airport - where the male victim was found shot outside just before 4 a.m.
The 25-year-old victim was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead according to Miami-Dade Police Det. Alvaro Zabaleta. He was later identified as Junior Catilus, of Miami.
Officials said Catilus had been eating in the restaurant with a female acquaintance and was walking to his car when he was shot.
No information about a possible suspect was released.
