Giancarlo Stanton, A.J. Ramos and Ricky Nolasco helped create a mural in Brazil to honor Marlins teammate Jose Fernandez.
The colorful masterpiece was created to honor the former ace of the Miami Marlins after his tragic passing last month. Stanton and Ramos have been vocal in their dedications to Fernandez in the past few weeks. Nolasco, who currently plays for the Los Angeles Angels, is on vacation with friends Stanton and Ramos in Rio de Janeiro.
Most of the work on the mural was done by well known Brazilian street artist Tito na Rua. Stanton, Nolasco and Ramos would add finishing touches which included their autographs. After the project was completed, Stanton took to Instagram to share the finished work on Monday.
Just this past week, Fernandez was also honored by the Florida Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown. Honors and tributes for Fernandez have come from around the league, other sports and across the nation. The impact of the 24-year old's death has been evident from even those he never personally met.
Stanton added a video to his Twitter account showing his work on the signature portion of the mural as well.

The Marlins have not publicly stated how they will continue to honor Fernandez in 2017 as of yet. It is expected that the team will continue to wear a patch with Fernandez's number on their sleeve. A retirement ceremony for his #16 is also a possibility.
