The commemoration of a memorial garden honoring slain journalist Steven Sotloff will take place in Pinecrest Saturday.
The Steven Sotloff Memorial Garden commemoration will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Pinecrest Gardens at 11000 Red Road. The event is open to the public.
Sotloff's parents, Shirley and Arthur, helped design the memorial, which includes three water features.
Sotloff, a 31-year-old Miami native who freelanced for Time and Foreign Policy magazines and studied journalism at the University of Central Florida, was killed by the Islamist terrorist group ISIS in a video released last September.
