Miami Gardens Homes Under Boil Water Notice After Water Main Break

Around 80 homes are under boil water notice after a water main break flooded streets in a Miami Gardens neighborhood Wednesday.

Footage from Chopper 6 showed water gushing from a sinkhole and flooding the residential area near NW 42nd Court and NW 191st Street.

The water main was repaired as of Wednesday night, but officials are still working to repair the roads.

The homes under boil water notice must boil water for drinking, brushing teeth, ice making, dish washing and cooking. Residents are able to shower and wash hands while avoiding drinking the water.

The area of NW 191st Street from 39th Court to 42nd Avenue was blocked off for repairs, according to the Miami Gardens Police Department.
