Miami Poop Map Created Amid Homeless Dispute

A dispute over dealing with Miami's homeless population has led to the creation of a poop map chronicling the feces and urine found by a sanitation worker on one shift.

The map, which features smiling poop emojis to show the location of the human waste, was unveiled by the Downtown Development Authority Thursday, the Miami Herald reported.

The DDA made the map as part of their battle with the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust over what to do with the city's sanitation issues related to the homeless.

The two agencies have feuded over the DDA's promotion of porta-potties and creation of a temporary shelter program, which the Homeless Trust has dismissed as ill-conceived.

Homeless Trust chairman Ron Book said the criticisms were politically motivated, according to the Herald.

There are about 1,000 homeless men and women on the streets of Miami.
