Florida had a group of players take batting practice with the Marlins before Miami's game on Wednesday. Derek MacKenzie also had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the game, which Florida shared some related video of.

The Panthers visiting the Marlins was a bit of a completed trade between the teams. During Florida's regular season, Miami stopped by for a visit to promote the start of its season. Jose Fernandez would take part in the ceremonial puck drop in that game.
While Florida gets to work on its off-season work with a goal of returning to the playoffs, Miami is hard at work at ending a playoff drought. The Marlins have won eight of their last nine games heading into Wednesday's contest.
