At least one person was taken into custody after police responded to a shooting and a domestic related incident at an apartment complex in Hialeah Friday morning.
Hialeah Police Department officers arrived at the scene, located near W. 24th Avenue, just after 6 a.m. after multiple calls to police of shots fired and a barricaded man.
Officers took a shirtless man into custody and placed him in the back of a patrol car.
Officials said there was a domestic-related incident and a witness who was armed intervened. There was an altercation between the witness and the suspect and the firearm was discharged, but no one was injured, police said.
Police haven't released the identity of the suspect or said what charges he may face.
No other information was immediately known.
