A surfer was reported missing off Boca Inlet Friday night as Hurricane Irma approached South Florida.
A Coast Guard Station Fort Lauderdale boat crew was responding to the reported incident.

Authorities said witnesses told them they spotted a surf board in the water, WPTV reports.
