One of five teens accused of beating and raping a Hollywood girl in 2013 was back in custody Tuesday after violating a court order.
A judge revoked a $100,000 bond for Erica Avery, now 17. Avery is accused of posting photos to social media. Pre-trial release orders barred the teen from being on the internet.
Another accused teen, 17-year-old Patricia Montes, accepted a plea deal Monday in the case. She pleaded no contest to two counts of armed sexual battery and two counts of kidnapping, after reaching a deal with prosecutors.
She was sentenced to four years in prison as a youthful offender. The prison term will be followed by two years of probation.
Montes will testify against Avery, along with Lanel Singleton, now 19; Dwight Henry, now 18; and Jayvon Woolfork, now 20. All are being tried as adults.
The victim claims she was visiting one of the teens when Woolfork and the others approached her. Police said they told her, "You have to have sex with Jay or we are going to beat you."
The teens are accused of beating her and dragging her through the house before forcing her into a bedroom where the rape occurred.
One of the teens captured the entire attack on cell phone video that was later recovered by police.
The crime occurred on November 1, 2013, when Montes was 15 and the victim was 16.
