Three people were rushed to the hospital after an early morning crash in Northeast Miami-Dade in which two of the victims were trapped inside their vehicle.
Rescue crews arrived at the scene near Biscayne Boulevard and NE 82nd Street around 2 a.m. where they found two women inside a Honda Accord that appeared to have hit a pole. The driver was pinned inside and had to be freed using the Jaws of Life.
The driver of the second vehicle involved, a Kia SUV, was also trapped and had to be freed by crews. All three victims were taken to Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.
Police reopened the intersection an hour later following their investigation.
