Universal Orlando said one of its ride technicians died while working inside the Men in Black attraction at the theme park early Tuesday.
Emergency crews were sent to Universal Orlando after receiving a report about a patient without a pulse around 2:30 a.m., fire officials said. Crews found the individual in the rafters of the ride.
A spokesperson for Universal Orlando said the theme park is working to fully understand what happened and will cooperate with all relevant authorities.
Universal Orlando said the incident has nothing to do with ride safety or the guest experience at the park.
Universal vice president Tom Schroder says they're doing all they "can to take care of his family'' as well as those who worked with him. But he says Universal is not releasing details about the death and has not publicly identified the worker.
