A 21-year-old woman died and two men were hurt in a fiery crash that obliterated a Lamborghini in New York City, authorities say.
Footage posted to the Citizen app shows dramatic flames consuming the vehicle under an overpass in the Inwood neighborhood in Manhattan late Monday. A neighborhood resident who witnessed the crash and aftermath described it as, "I thought someone had dropped a dumpster off a high-rise."
The 22-year-old Lamborghini driver, Alejandro Rentas, was taken to Harlem Hospital and is expected to be OK. He was taken into police custody, though it wasn't immediately clear what charges he would face. The woman who died, identified as Tiana Rodriguez, was his passenger.
A 37-year-old man in the vehicle they hit was also taken to a hospital.

An Inwood man was coming out of the subway Monday night on the way home from work Monday night when he helped rescue the Lamborghini driver from the inferno. He said he wasn't able to get the trapped passenger.
"I pulled him from the car but it was too late, it was just burning everywhere we couldn’t get the lady out," said Onur Alay Bey. "You don’t know if the car is going to explode, the flames are coming at you. I’m so sad for the lady."
Bey said that the driver appeared to be speeding, and thought the cops might have been following them.
