Typhoon Dolphin Hammers Guam With Winds, Rain

Residents in Guam took shelter early Saturday as Typhoon Dolphin swept the U.S. island territory with damaging winds, heavy rain and huge waves, NBC News reported. The powerful Pacific storm knocked out power, downed trees and grounded flights as it swept near the island, packing winds at a maximum of 110 mph before it gradually receded to the north. One person was hurt and taken to a hospital, a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said.
