For about the umpteenth time, May's edition of the NASCARSprint Cup Series non-points all-star event is getting a new format.
Gone is the format from last season featuring four 25-lap segments, though the race will still feature a total of 100 laps. Instead, the 2009 version of the Sprint All-Star Race will be broken into four segments -- one 50 lapper, two 20 lappers and a concluding segment of 10 laps.
All of this, of course, leaves one question: Does it really take 25 years to figure out an acceptable format?
