Heat Want Moon, Anthony Back

Resigning a D-leaguer and a long-armed wingman are small steps to securing Wade

With 2010 looming in the near future, the Miami Heat are taking baby steps to make sure they entice franchise player Dwyane Wade to stay. Well, resigning Joel Anthony and Jamario Moon would be more like a crawl than a step.

Still the Heat have made qualifying offers to bother players, who are currently restricted free agents. The Heat will have the
right to match any offer they receive from other teams.

Anthony appeared in 65 games for the Heat last season averaging 2.2 points, three rebounds and 1.4 blocks while providing what little muscle the Heat had on the inside.

Moon was acquired Feb. 13 from the Toronto Raptors, along with Jermaine O'Neal in exchange for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks. He appeared in 26 games for the Heat last season averaging 7.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and one assist. in 26.5 minutes of action. The athletic small forward finished the season first in the NBA for steals-per-turnover ratio.
