Local 4-Star QB in High Demand Ahead of Signing Day

The Ohio State Buckeyes have an embarrassment of riches at quarterback and it may get even better when local star quarterback Torrance Gibson puts pen to paper on National Signing Day.

Gibson was 111-239 for 1,953 yards, 21 touchdowns, and three interceptions while also running the ball 140 times for 1,002 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2014. He’s a four-star player according to 247sports and rivals.com and committed to Ohio State last November.

However, with Ohio State having two Heisman Trophy contending quarterbacks and another that quarterbacked the team to the 2014 national championship, Gibson is keeping his options open and visiting other schools.

He visited Auburn last week and was at LSU over the weekend. He’ll also give the University of Miami a chance to sway him on January 30. LSU offensive coordinator also paid a visit to the Plantation quarterback’s home last week just before his official visit to Baton Rouge.

So where will he sign? NBC 6 Sports talked to Gibson about recruiting, snapchat, and a plan B with the 6’4’” dual-threat quarterback. His full interview is at the top of this story.
