The Best Clambake south of New England at The Forge

Well-known for its outstanding food, The Forge Restaurant | Wine Bar has brought back its annual Clambake every Friday this summer, starting at 6:00 p.m. The clambake is created using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients indigenous to South Florida and is a bargain at only $49. Think of it as The Forge's version of the ultimate "Happy Meal." The menu features a savory selection of The Forge’s best dishes including: Steamed Clams & Mussels, Crispy Chicken Wings, Oyster Po’Boys and New England Clam Chowder to start; New England-style entrees such as Grilled Maine Lobster with candied garlic, Grilled Salmon with basil mashed potatoes, hearts of palm and green salad, Grilled and Sliced Hangar Steak with tomato jam and leek chutney, and Pomegranate BBQ Chicken with cheddar grits and tomato chutney. For dessert, guests can choose from a creamy and rich Banana Bread Pudding with butter scotch sauce or a tarty Lemon Panna Cotta. And it wouldn't be a clambake without corn on the cob and boiled red bliss potatoes.  While every bite is perfect- the lobster is our top pick!  You'll also enjoy two-for-one draft beers throughout the evening.  For reservations, call The Forge Restaurant | Wine Bar at 305.538.8533 or visit www.theforge.com

ING Miami Celebrity Domino Night 2013

This Saturday, June 15,  more than 100 celebrities and 1, 800 guests will gather to celebrate ING Miami Celebrity Domino Night 2013, otherwise known throughout the Latin community as, "Miami's most popular fundraiser." The fun starts at 8 p.m. and goes well after midnight at Jungle Island (1111 Parrot Jungle Trail). The evening will feature celebrity domino players, tons of food, bar courtesy of presenting sponsor, Bacardí USA, and an exciting silent auction featuring the original artwork for this year’s painting by Carlos Navarro, “Conga y Domino.”

From the moment you arrive, you'll be treated to dinner-by-the-bite from Miami’s most popular restaurants and chefs, a live performance by one of Miami’s hottest bands “The Culture” and dance music by our favorite, DJ Irie, of the Miami Heat. New this year will be a special midnight pizza delivery courtesy of Papa John’s- because all that dancing is sure to build up a late-night appetite.

Proceeds collected from the event support Amigos efforts in providing diverse services to children and families throughout the year.  To buy tickets, become an Amigo, or for more information, call 305.279.1155 or visit www.amigosforkids.org.
