When you spend practically every waking hour partying with celebrities, spinning beats at Heat games, and manning the turntables in the 305's hottest clubs, it's really no surprise what DJ Irie hopes to achieve in 2011: he's going to LEGOLAND!.
"Most importantly I really want to take my son to LEGOLAND," said Irie when citing his New Year's resolutions. "So I'm hoping we can do that as soon as possible. I know he will love it."
He added: "I also told myself I would finally take care of my vinyl collection -- I have an entire storage locker Downtown dedicated just to vinyl that should be passed on to some young DJ learning the ropes."
But before the 2011 fun starts, DJ Irie has big plans to end 2010 with a bang. The night's agenda includes a stint at the star-studded Ocean Drive bash alongside Leona Lewis and a tag team performance with rising hip-hop star Drake, following the Young Money rapper's poolside performance at WET.
"I'm really looking forward to the event I'm hosting this year called Orange Drive, happening on Ocean Drive with performances from Natasha Bedingfield and Leona Lewis," he said. "And then I'm heading over to Wall at the W to hook up with Drake."
"It's going to be a sick night!"
Crack open the piggy bank if you plan to attend this shindig: General admission tickets will set party-goers back at least $350 (but at least there's open bar from 9 p.m. to midnight, right?).
