Alligator Blocks Entrance at Florida Walmart

The alligator left after about an hour.

A five- to six-foot-long alligator wandered to the front door of an Apopka Walmart just before midnight Sunday, reported NBC affiliate WESH.

Employees had to close off one side of the entrance because the alligator decided to rest against the side of the door, the station reported.

Police responded to the scene to make sure shoppers were safe, but the alligator wandered back into a pond behind the store after about an hour, WESH reported.
