Audubon Florida is objecting to plans for military training at two state parks in the Panhandle.

The environmental group says aircraft, motorized vehicles and electronic equipment will disrupt wildlife and vegetation within the Blackwater River State Forest and the Tate's Hell State Forest.

Audubon Florida says it is especially concerned about the endangered Red-cockaded Woodpecker, which lives in the region.

The Air Force did not immediately respond to questions about the protest letter released Wednesday by Audubon.
