John Eugene Enabnit arrested trying to contact Ivanka Trump at golf course: Police

A man accused of harassing the daughter of business mogul Donald Trump is behind bars in Miami-Dade after he was arrested for trying to contact her in Doral, police said.

John Eugene Enabnit, 32, was arrested Sunday for violating a New York restraining order prohibiting him from being near Ivanka Trump, according to the Miami Herald.

Enabnit was arrested at a Doral hotel Sunday night, just before the end of the World Golf Championship at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa, bought last year by the multimillionaire for about $150 million.

"Enabnit freely told our detectives that he was at the golf course trying to contact Ivanka Trump," Doral Police Chief Richard Blom told the Herald. "After the arrest, we contacted New York district attorney’s office to inform them of the incident because the man had violated a restraining order."

Ivanka Trump, 31, is a model who also is executive vice president of development and acquisitions for her father's Trump Organization.

Enabnit was arrested in February on harassment charges during the launch of Ivanka Trump's perfume line in New York, according to the New York Post.

Jail records showed Enabnit was being held without bond on an out of state warrant. It was unknown whether he has an attorney.
