Miami Police have arrested a man they say raped and robbed two teens at gunpoint early Sunday.

Terrence Dwayne Mingo Jr., 25, is facing two counts of armed sexual battery and two counts of armed robbery in the incident that happened in the area of Northwest 1st Court between Northwest 14th and 15th Streets, Miami Police said.

Mingo Jr. appeared in bond court Thursday where he was ordered held without bond. It was unknown whether he has an attorney.

According to police, the two women were walking together around 12:40 a.m. when they were approached by Mingo Jr., who was armed with a handgun.

He demanded they give him their belongings and ordered the victims to sit on the ground.

According to an arrest affidavit, the victims, who are only 17 and 19 years old, begged for their lives and asked not to be hurt.

Mingo Jr. sexually assaulted the victims and fled with their belongings in an unknown direction, police said.

Police were able to find Mingo Jr. after he left a finger print at the scene, the affidavit said.
