Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in front of his Miami home early Tuesday.
Authorities have given few details of the shooting, which happened in the 1100 block of Northwest 34th Avenue.
The father of the victim, Rene Roque, identified him as 48-year-old Carlos Amores. He said Amore was leaving for work around 2 a.m. when he was shot.
The man was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center where he died from his injuries, police said.
Roque said his son was a calm, quiet man who lived with his mother and he had children.
"He changed his phone number not too long ago. I don't know why he changed it," Roque said. "He was my son but I don't know what happened."
Police are trying to find out what led to the shooting and who may be responsible. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
