Detectives are searching for a man near Pembroke Pines who they say has been groping and assaulting women in or near Brian Piccolo Park.
At least seven attacks have been reported in the area of 9700 Sheridan Street so far.
The most recent victim, Christina Gomez, 24, said she is staying away from Brian Piccolo Park in Cooper City after the man tackled her, snatched her cell phone, and took off.
"I don't think I've ever screamed so loud in my life," Gomez said.
On Saturday March 23rd, she and her boyfriend went to Brian Piccolo Park for an evening workout. She said she remembers seeing just a few other people playing basketball there. Her boyfriend did sprints on the soccer field, while she jogged around the track.
Gomez said she saw her attacker riding a bike around the park, but he did not seem suspicious until he put his bike down and approached her.
"Then he just was out to get me," Gomez said.
She said the man, who she had never seen before, grabbed her waist and tackled her from behind. He straddled her to hold her down, and covered her mouth.
She immediately began yelling her boyfriend's name.
"I screamed bloody murder," Gomez she said.
The attacker took off and her boyfriend gave chase, but the man escaped on foot, leaving his bike behind.
If you have any information on the attacker, you can call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-Tips.
