As many as 30 puppies were killed in the fire at 3243 NW 7th St. Miami Fire Rescue spokesman Lt. Ignatius Carroll, Beverly Hills Puppies owners Martin and Gloria Leon, nearby business owners John Martinez and Alejandro Medina, and Luis Perez, who depended on meals delivered from Medina's cantina, spoke about the blaze.

Authorities are investigating after several trees caught on fire in an open field in Miami late Tuesday.
The fire broke out around 10 p.m. at the field in the area of Northwest 4th Avenue and 6th Street, Miami Fire Rescue spokesman Lt. Ignatius Carroll said.
Miami Police officers were the first to arrive and tried to extinguish the fire before it quickly grew out of control, Carroll said.
Firefighters arrived and were able to quickly put it out. No one was reported injured.
The cause of the fire is undetermined, Carroll said.
