Weather Forecast -- 5:30 a.m. -- July 2, 2013
Fast-moving showers were expected throughout South Florida on Tuesday.
Most of the showers were in central Broward and western portions of Palm Beach County.
The storms were moving north-northwest and there was quite a bit offshore. So, rainstorms will be moving through the area all day. There is also some potential for downpours in downtown Miami.
So far, there were no reports of flooding, but drivers should be careful on the way home because the rain was expected to improve during the evening hours.
Temperatures for Tuesday were expected to be near about 90 degrees.
On Wednesday, there will be a 40 to 50 percent chance of rain. And on July 4, it may be drier, with only a 30 percent chance of showers and storms, with highs around 90. But there is a high risk for risk of rip currents for Thursday and Friday.
