BSO looking for woman who spiked man's drink before stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of high-end watches from him

Authorities are looking for a woman they believe drugged a Pompano Beach man before stealing cash and tens of thousands of dollars worth of expensive watches from him.

The incident happened in early March when the 45-year-old man met the attractive woman, who said her name was Crystal, at an upscale restaurant Yolo on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, the Broward Sheriff's Office said Friday.

The two, who had met previously, went next door to the nightspot Vibe before moving to the victim's Pompano Beach house, where Crystal made him a vodka drink that took a half hour to make, the BSO said. He took a sip while she drank directly from the bottle.

The man didn't wake up until the next afternoon. Crystal was gone and so were $6,000 in cash and four high-end watches – two Rolexes, one Cartier and one Paniere – worth between $80,000-$100,000, the BSO said.

Crystal also deleted her contact information from his cell phone.

Marci Greenberg, who was out on Las Olas Boulevard Friday night, drew a lesson from the case.

“Just be really careful, in anybody you meet and anything you do,” she said.

Authorities have released a sketch of Crystal and describe her as possibly Hispanic and in her late 20s. Detectives are investigating similar cases that may involve her.

Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
