A woman who was pulled from a house fire in southwest Miami-Dade early Monday morning has died, officials said.
The fire broke out at a single family home in the area of Southwest 87th Avenue and 21st Terrace, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Ray Jadallah said.
According to Jadallah, flames were venting through the roof and coming out of the sides of the home when firefighters arrived.
As firefighters started fighting the flames they began a search of the home and found the woman inside, Jadallah said. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead, officials said.
No one else was injured. The cause of the fire was still being investigated.
