Police Arrest Deadly Cigarette Sucker Puncher

Sosthene Louis punched and killed a man over a cigarette

Miami Police arrested 35-year-old Sosthene Louis on Friday, and charged him with second-degree murder for punching and killing Lisney Oliveira earlier this week.

Louis is allegedly the man with the deadly punch, striking 26-year-old Oliveira only once because the victim did not give him a cigarette on Monday morning in downtown Miami. Surveillance video captured Louis walking away from the scene.

Oliveira's head hit the concrete after the sucker punch. He died after being transported to the hospital.

A Crime Stoppers tip led to Louis' arrest, police said.

Louis has been arrested numerous times in the past and has been jailed on various charges, ranging from drug possession to theft and aggravated battery.

Oliveira, who lived in Boca Raton, came to Florida from Brazil his family said. They released an emotional plea for help to find their fallen family member's killer Wednesday and were relieved to see the crime solved so quickly.

"Nothing will bring him back, but at least I know that man wouldn't do that to someone else," Oliveira's mother, Heloisa, told the Sun-Sentinel.
