Authorities in Broward County are crediting an 11-year-old boy with helping them catch a hit-and-run driver.
The Broward Sheriff's Office says Peter Pappas ran after a white four-door vehicle he saw leave the scene of an accident on Thursday. The boy managed to get a partial license plate number.
He then led deputies to a parked car where they arrested a 63-year-old man for leaving the scene of an accident, DUI and other charges, according to the South Florida Sun Sentinel.
Deputies say they would have had a tough time finding the driver without Peter's help.
It's not the first time, either.
When he was eight, Peter raised more than $3,600 at his elementary school for a 13-year-old girl who needed a double lung transplant.
