    Two people were injured after a car crashed into a Miami Beach souvenir shop, police said. NBC 6's Julia Bagg reports. (Published Monday, Aug 11, 2014)

    Two people were injured after a car crashed into a Miami Beach souvenir shop.

    The car slammed into Alvin's Island on Lincoln Road and Collins Avenue Monday morning.

    Miami Beach Police said the two victims appeared to have been outside the store, which was not yet open for the day.

    The driver remained on scene and was cooperating with police, officials said.

    No further details were immediately available.
