Miami Gardens Police officers responding to a call of shots fired early Thursday morning came across an injured man with some items he'd rather the cops hadn't come across.

Police say they found a grow house with about 20 plants and several others that had been cut operating in the home in the 2800 block of Northwest 198th St. when they responded to the call around 3 a.m.

Officers say when they arrived they found the home's resident suffering from multiple injuries, but none of them were gunshot wounds.

When the victim gave cops permission to search his house, they found the stash and the victim became a suspect.

The unidentified victim/marijuana grower was transported to Ryder Trauma Center with non-life threatening injuries. After he recuperates, he'll face charges related to operating the grow house.
