2 People Shot At NW Miami-Dade Nightclub

A fight broke out inside the club just beforehand, patrons said.

Patrons of Coco's Lounge tell NBC Miami that a fight broke out inside the northwest Miami-Dade club just before a shooting there early Monday morning.

Miami-Dade Police investigated after at least two people were shot at the nightclub around 1 a.m.

They closed NW 119th Street between 14th and 17th avenues, and the two people were transferred to Ryder Trauma Center for gunshot wounds.

More than a dozen bullet casings were found in Coco's parking lot and on the street outside the club as authorities questioned patrons. About 30 cars remained parked in the lot, as they were not allowed to be moved because of the investigation.

Cameras posted outside may have caught what sparked the gunfire, and who pulled the trigger.
